My first “life changing” book.

I am not an avid reader of fiction and while Peter Senge recommended this book in one of his posts, I hesitated because the Amazon synopsis suggested a fuzzy pop-philosophy plot. Little did I know that this would be the first book of fiction I have read that I can honestly describe as "life changing".

Until you have read this book you may wonder why some readers describe it as "life changing" and why it makes other readers so angry. I challenge you to see for yourself and read this - however be warned - you will be asked to reconsider everything you've ever been told about the very concept of civilization. A wonderful twist to the sacredness that we consider to be civilization. In a way Ishmael is a parable, a mini course in self awareness, a dialog in which you "become" a participant.
